ESI Shares its Vision for Smart Factories at the IoT Tech Expo North America
Who? ESI Group is a leading innovator in Virtual Prototyping software and services for manufacturing industries. Specialist in material physics, ESI has developed a unique proficiency in helping industrial manufacturers replace physical prototypes with virtual prototypes, allowing them to virtually manufacture, assemble, test and pre-certify their future products.
What? ESI will speak at the world’s largest Internet of Things (IoT) event in Santa Clara, CA at the end of the month. Held on November 29 and 30 in the Silicon Valley, the IoT Tech Expo North America will gather key players in the industry from across the United States. This event will feature the latest innovations within the Internet of Things and will cover manufacturing, transportation, health, as well as logistics, government, energy and automotive. ESI will contribute its vision to the discussions on industrial IoT and demonstrate its engineering solutions for Smart Virtual Prototyping.
This year, the Expo highlights the most innovative advances in technologies affecting IoT with case studies and dedicated tracks covering the entire Internet of Things ecosystem including Smart Transportation & Cities. The thousands of attendees will learn more about connected industry, IoT in enterprise, IoT innovations & technologies as well as data & security.
On November 29th, during the morning session, Cristian Tanasescu, Executive Vice President, System Modeling and Data Analytics at ESI Group will chair the panel: "Manufacturing and Smart Factories of the Future". He will discuss the operational transformation in manufacturing from a product focus to an outcome-based one. He will also show how the IoT, when integrated within an industrial setting, can revolutionize the functionality of fabrication and assembly processes within smart factories.
ESI will take this opportunity to showcase ESI MINESET, its intuitive, web-based application that blends Data Visualization and Machine Learning. Designed to make the process of ingesting, exploring, sharing and applying insights on data a seamless and user-friendly experience, ESI MINESET will be available for a demo during the two-day event. The team will also present SimulationX, ESI’s customizable software platform of multiphysics system simulation for modeling, simulating, and analyzing complex dynamic systems. It allows engineers to assess the consequences of technical decisions, eliminate errors and reduce the number of physical prototypes created. Both solutions will be presented to attendees during the event at booth #264.
