ESI expands its distribution network in Turkey
ESI Group, pioneer and world- leading solution provider in virtual prototyping, announces the signing of three new agreements to distribute its software and services in Turkey. CAE Solutions, Onatus, and RMC Mühendislik will all act as agents in delivery of software and associated training, analysis and consultancy services to the Turkish market.
ESI is strengthening its position in Turkey, a highly strategic country recently qualified as "Europe’s BRIC" by British Prime Minister David Cameron. The country was one of the strongest performers among emerging economies last year, with a GDP growth approaching 9%. Foreign Direct Investment has increased in consequence; reaching $10bn in 2010. The booming industrial sector of the economy has a particular focus on automotive and energy.
CAE Solutions has a license to distribute ESI’s Virtual Performance Solution, a comprehensive and scalable solution for linear and nonlinear simulations. CAE Solutions has its head office in Bursa, a branch office in Istanbul and another one in Ankara. The company is well established in the automotive and defense industries and provides engineering services that combine analysis and simulation using Finite Element methods with physical testing and measurement. Thanks to this partnership, CAE’s clients will gain access to ESI’s 38 years strong expertise in engineering services, allowing partners to jointly support increasingly complex consulting projects.
Onatus will sell VA One, ESI’s vibro-acoustic software for noise and vibration simulation. The team has 10 years experience in the automotive industry and is familiar with most ESI solutions. A focus on VA One will enhance the company’s offerings in the fields of vibration and acoustics and enable them to offer added value to the product development activities of their customers.
RMC will distribute ESI’s Sheet Metal Forming Simulation Suite - including PAM-STAMP 2G - and ESI’s software solutions for composites and plastics manufacturing - including SYSPLY, PAM-FORM and PAM-RTM. The Istanbul-based technology company, a well-known provider of CAE products, will cooperate with LEOPAR, an engineering company focusing on composites and sheet metal forming, to deliver the best virtual prototyping solutions to their customers. RMC will also distribute ESI’s Welding Simulation Suite.
Marco Gremaud, Managing director of ESI’s International Business Unit, comments: “Turkey is undoubtedly one of the emerging countries that will play a centric role in several industries very soon. In this booming market, ESI is helping manufacturers gain global competitiveness by leveraging scientific expertise, standardizing processes and speeding up time to market for the development of new products. These three new agreements, with well recognized companies, will help us assure quick market penetration and establish leadership for the coming years.”
